Salma Paralluelo Joins Growing List of Stars Departing FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona’s summer of change looks set to continue as Salma Paralluelo has announced her decision to leave the club.

The striker will bid a fond farewell to the Catalan outfit when her contract expires on 30 June 2026.

Paralluelo departs after four hugely successful seasons in Barcelona colours, during which she won a whopping 15 trophies.

That impressive tally includes three Champions Leagues, four league titles, three Copas de la Reina and four Super Cups.

The 22-year-old speedster will undoubtedly leave a huge hole in Barcelona’s attack. Since signing from Villarreal as a bright prospect, Paralluelo established herself as one of the deadliest forwards in Spain, netting 72 goals in 131 appearances.

Explosive and powerful, Paralluelo has also shown her versatility, playing on both wings, at left-back and at centre-forward.

“FC Barcelona would like to thank Salma Paralluelo for her commitment, dedication and her contribution during her four seasons in a Barça shirt,” a statement read. “The Club wishes her all the best for the future.”

Though nobody knew it at the time, what proved to be Paralluelo’s final two goals for Barcelona came in their Champions League final victory over OL Lyonnes in May.

Her late brace put the gloss on a crushing 4-0 win, sealing a fourth title for the Blaugranes. Replacing her goals will prove a tough task for the Barcelona hierarchy this summer.

Paralluelo the Latest High-Profile Departure

It’s looking increasingly likely that FC Barcelona are in for a busy summer transfer window. Two-time Ballon d’Or winner Alexia Putellas is also departing and will join London City Lionesses.

Centre-back Mapi León is expected to make the same switch, while Ona Batlle is Arsenal-bound.

Winger Caroline Graham Hansen is also out of contract but is expected to remain at Barça, along with coach Pere Romeu, who inked a deal that will keep him at the reigning Liga F champions until 2028.
