Everything You Need to Know About Jess Park

Manchester United midfielder Jess Park has made a remarkable impact on the Reds’ squad since joining from bitter rivals Manchester City in September 2025.

Here’s everything you need to know about the player United head coach Marc Skinner has described as “genuinely an incredible footballer”.

She grew up playing football in the park

Born on October 21, 2001 and growing up in Brough, just outside of Hull in East Yorkshire, Jess Park spent her free time kicking a ball around in local parks with her best friend.

She then began her competitive footballing journey by playing and training with boys’ teams, including Elloughton Blackburn Swifts U7s.

Her natural talent soon saw her progress beyond grassroots football and into more formal youth setups.

She joined Hull City’s centre of excellence before moving on to York City Regional Talent Centre, where she caught the eye of scouts from some of England’s top clubs.

Park’s commitment to football was clear even in her early teens. Before signing for Manchester City, she would travel from Yorkshire to Manchester after school and at weekends to train.

She made her professional debut at just 16

Jess’s professional career began at Manchester City’s prestigious academy.

She made her senior debut in December 2017, aged just 16, and quickly impressed with her technical ability.

Over the following seasons, Park became a key figure for City, helping the team secure FA Cup and League Cup victories while featuring in UEFA Women’s Champions League matches.

She scored 22 goals in 119 appearances for City before crossing the divide to join Manchester United last year.

She joined United to ‘push her limits’

In September 2025, Jess Park completed a high-profile transfer to Manchester United, signing a four-year contract.

She described the move as the perfect opportunity to take her game to the next level.

“I am the sort of person who wants to keep improving and pushing limits,” she said, “and I think this is the perfect place for me to do that.”

Her form for United has been outstanding

Jess Park’s start at United has been nothing short of remarkable.

She won Player of the Month for October, November, and December 2025, becoming a fan favourite in record time.

By early 2026, she had scored seven goals across all competitions, including a stunning solo strike against Aston Villa that earned her WSL Goal of the Month for January.

“You know it’s in”

Jess Park’s form of late has been so impressive that, after United’s recent victory against Atlético Madrid, Marc Skinner said that her scoring is becoming an inevitability.

“We’re getting to the point now where, as soon as [the ball] leaves her foot, you know it’s in.

“As soon as you know she’s in space, you know she’s going to hit the target. It’s beautiful football”.

She’s an all-round game-changer

Beyond her attacking talent, Jess has also shown impressive all‑around involvement.

She’s topped United’s rankings for key passes, touches in the opposition box, and forward progression in several games this season.

Jess Park has been an England international since 2022

Park made her senior England debut in November 2022, scoring shortly after coming on against Japan.

She was also part of England’s UEFA Women’s Euro 2025-winning squad and has earned 20 caps, scoring three goals.
