Chelsea could have made one of their wisest investments yet, after snapping up 19-year-old Italian star Giulia Dragoni.
Widely considered one of the most talented young midfielders in the game, Dragoni has signed with the Blues on a 4-year-contract.
Giulia Dragoni is Already Making an Impression
A technically gifted player, Dragoni combines incredible skill with composure and an ability to read the game.
She’s been making moves in world football since an early age, having started in Pro Sesto’s academy before joining Inter Milan in 2020, where she made her senior debut just after her 16th birthday.

She then signed for Barcelona in January 2023 – the same year she made her international debut for Italy. She went on to start three games at the World Cup, which she lists as her biggest career highlight to date.
Aged just 19, Giulia Dragoni already has 25 international caps to her name and looks set to become a key player in the Italian squad.
A Dream Come True for Giulia Dragoni
“I still can’t believe I have signed for Chelsea,” said Dragoni.
“When I was a child, not even in my biggest dreams did I think I would sign for Chelsea. It’s unbelievable. I’m really excited.
“I spoke with Sonia [Bompastor], and she introduced me to the project here and showed me the possibilities. We all know Chelsea is one of the best clubs in the world, so it wasn’t hard to convince me to come here.”
Fans won’t have long to wait before they see Dragone in action, as she’s been named in Chelsea’s travelling squad for their pre-season tour of Australia and New Zealand.
