Vivianne Miedema Hits Double Figures as City Dominate Scoring Charts

Vivianne Miedema’s first-half brace in last weekend’s Manchester derby saw her goal tally for this season tick over into double figures as she and her City teammates continue to dominate the scoring charts.

Miedema Third-Highest Goalscorer So Far

Manchester City’s Khadija Shaw leads the Women’s Super League scoring charts by some distance, having netted 18 goals in 19 appearances at a remarkable rate of one every 93 minutes. She’s also had well over 100 shots on goal.

Her nearest rival is Aston Villa’s Kirsty Hanson, with 12 goals, averaging one every 120 minutes.

City team-mate Vivianne Miedema sits third with 10 goals; she’s also assisted 5 for the squad.

Alessia Russo Tops the Best of the Rest

Arsenal’s Alessia Russo is close behind on 9 goals, 3 of which came in last weekend’s victory in the North London Derby.

Kerolin, also of City, currently sits fifth in the top scorers’ table with 8 goals. Notably, the Brazilian international has the best minutes-per-goal ratio of any player in the league, finding the back of the net every 86 minutes on average across her 12 appearances.

A cluster of players are locked together on 7 goals, including Chelsea’s Alyssa Thompson, Brighton’s Seike Kiko, Arsenal’s Stina Blackstenius, and Spurs’ Beth England.

Aside from out-and-out goals, perhaps the most eye-catching stat belongs to Everton’s Honoka Hayashi and Liverpool’s Beata Olsson, both of whom boast a 40% conversion rate – the joint-highest in the league.
