She made her professional debut in 2019
Born on 12 January, 2001 in Heerlen, Netherlands, Romée Leuchter began her football career at CTO Zuid before joining PSV Eindhoven in 2019, where she made her professional debut and helped the team win the KNVB Women’s Cup in 2021.
She was Ajax’s top goal-scorer for three consecutive seasons
In June 2021, Leuchter moved to Ajax, where she grew into one of Europe’s most prolific forwards.
Over three seasons, she became Ajax’s all‑time leading scorer, eventually leaving the club in 2024 with 86 goals in 89 appearances across all competitions.

In her time with Ajax, she also provided 21 assists, helping them win the Dutch league championship (2023) and two Dutch Cups (2022, 2024) before signing for PSG.
She once scored a hat-trick in 13 minutes

In October 2023, during a UEFA Women’s Champions League match against FC Zurich, Leuchter found the back of the net in the 47th, 56th, and 60th minutes, helping her team to a mammoth 6-0 victory.
She’s been an international player since 2015
Romée Leuchter’s international career began with the Dutch Under-15s in 2015. She progressed through the ranks with the U16, U17, and U19 teams, consistently contributing goals – an early indication of what was to come.
At the U17 European Championship in 2017, she scored in a crucial 2-1 win over England and finished as the Netherlands’ joint top scorer.
With the U19s, she helped the team reach the 2019 European Championship semi-finals, scoring 7 goals in qualifying and earning a spot in the team of the tournament.
She made her senior international debut at 21
Leuchter made her senior debut in 2022 at the Tournoi de France.
She quickly established herself within the team, scoring her first senior international goals in a 4-1 Euro 2022 group-stage win against Switzerland.
She was included in the Netherlands squad for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and later selected for the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025.
Although the Dutch side failed to make it out of the group stages, Leuchter’s selection once again demonstrated her importance to the national team.
