After a challenging season, Aston Villa fans will be hoping the rumours aren’t true as sources suggest their 25/26 top goal scorer, Kirsty Hanson, could be on the move.
What’s Next for Kirsty Hanson?
Tottenham are said to be pursuing the Scotland international as they look to build on their best-ever WSL campaign.

And Hanson’s numbers this season make it easy to see why: she finished third in the WSL top scorers chart with 12 goals and one assist in 22 appearances, converting 21% of her shots with a goal every 140 minutes.
Only Khadija Shaw and Alessia Russo scored more.
Will Kirsty Hanson head to Spurs?
It’s looking more and more likely.
Hanson has a prior connection with Spurs boss Martin Ho, having worked with him during his time as assistant coach at Manchester United, where she spent five years before joining Villa in 2023.
That relationship could prove a significant factor in any potential move.
However, it’s not clear-cut: the stumbling block could be her contract. Hanson signed an extension with Aston Villa last year, tying her to the club until June 2027, meaning Spurs would need to negotiate a fee with Villa to bring her to North London.
For Villa, losing their top scorer after a ninth-placed finish would be a significant blow.
But for Hanson, the prospect of joining a club on an upward curve and reuniting with Ho could prove impossible to resist.
