Barcelona are the champions of Europe again – and they made it look easy.
Goals from Ewa Pajor and Salma Paralluelo sealed a 4-0 victory over Lyon in Oslo on Saturday, giving Barcelona their fourth Champions League title in six seasons and completing a historic quadruple.
How Did Barcelona Win their Fourth Champions League Title?
The first half was tighter than the scoreline suggests. Lyon had a Lindsey Heaps goal ruled out for offside by VAR, and Barcelona goalkeeper Cata Coll was called into action on more than one occasion to keep the scores level at the break.
But the game turned on its head in the second half.

Ewa Pajor broke the deadlock in the 55th minute, latching onto a Patri Guijarro pass and driving a low left-foot strike past Lyon keeper Christiane Endler.
Pajor struck again 14 minutes later, tapping home a cross from Paralluelo to make it 2-0.
Paralluelo then got in on the act herself, thundering in a strike from outside the box in the 90th minute before adding a fourth in added time, with Pajor turning provider to set her up to round out a comfortable victory.
What Does this Win Mean?
Before the weekend, Barcelona had already won a seventh consecutive Liga F title; the Spanish Supercopa; and the Copa de la Reina. The Champions League victory rounds off the quadruple – the first time they’ve achieved it since 2023-24.
There could, however, be a summer of uncertainty ahead of the 26/27 campaign. Captain and two-time Ballon d’Or winner Alexia Putellas, along with Mapi Leon, Ona Batlle, and Caroline Graham Hansen, all see their contracts expire at the end of this season.
