Barcelona are heading to a sixth consecutive Women’s Champions League final – and they’ll face a familiar contender for the trophy.
A 4-2 win over Bayern Munich at a sold-out Spotify Camp Nou on Sunday – combined with last week’s 1-1 draw in the first leg – sealed a 5-3 aggregate victory and set up a mammoth clash against Lyon in Oslo on 23rd May.
Remarkably, it will be the fourth time the two sides have met in the final in the last eight years.
How Barcelona reached the Women’s Champions League final
It was a frantic first half at the Nou Camp.
Salma Paralluelo opened the scoring, converting from close range after a superb Caroline Graham Hansen cross, before Bayern equalised in the 17th minute through Linda Dallmann.

Alexia Putellas restored Barcelona’s lead just five minutes later, and it stayed 2-1 through to half-time.
Ewa Pajor converted an excellent Paralluelo cross not long into the second half to make it 3-1, before Putellas added an acrobatic volley for the fourth just before the hour mark.
Pernille Harder pulled one back for Bayern, but it wasn’t enough to prevent their eventual exit.
What Are the Stats Heading into Barcelona vs Lyon?
This Women’s Champions League final tie is a familiar one.
Lyon beat Barcelona 4-1 in the 2018-19 final and 3-1 in 2021-22, before Barcelona gained revenge with a 2-0 win in 2023-24.
Barcelona were defeated by Arsenal in last year’s final, so they’ll certainly be hoping to go one better this time to level up the stakes against Lyon.
