Trinity Rodman, a name synonymous with talent, determination, and soccer prowess, is quickly becoming a household name in the world of women’s soccer. As the daughter of NBA legend Dennis Rodman, Trinity has carved out her own path in the sports world, making a name for herself as a formidable force on the soccer field.
A Family Affair
While her father’s fame is undeniable, Trinity prefers to shine the spotlight on her mother, Michelle. Despite being legally married to Dennis until 2012, Trinity, her mother, and her brother lived separately, with Michelle serving as the primary caregiver and Trinity’s number-one supporter.
More Than Just a Soccer Player
Trinity’s talents extend beyond the soccer field. In March 2022, she became a published children’s author with the release of “Wake Up and Kick It With Trinity Rodman,” a book aimed at inspiring young kids to pursue their dreams. Trinity’s journey to the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) was anything but typical. Initially committed to UCLA, she switched gears and joined her brother at Washington State in 2020. However, the pandemic led to the cancellation of her freshman year season, prompting her to make the bold move to turn pro, becoming the youngest player drafted to the NWSL at the time.
Youth Soccer Dominance
Trinity’s soccer career has been marked by success from a young age. She played for SoCal Blues, winning four ECNL championships and going undefeated for five years. She also made a significant impact in her one year of high school soccer at JSerra Catholic High School before focusing on club soccer.
Superstitious on the Field
Like many athletes, Trinity has her pre-game rituals. She never steps onto the field without her black pre-wrap, a superstition that she adheres to faithfully.
A Passion for Gaming
Off the field, Trinity is an avid gamer. She never travels without her PS5, with Fortnite being her go-to game for relaxation and stress relief.
BFFs and Teammates
Trinity’s bond with teammate Ashley Sanchez is unbreakable. The two have formed a strong friendship over the years, playing together on the youth national team and in the NWSL.
A Love for Romance Novels
Rodman is also a fan of romance novels, particularly those by Colleen Hoover. She credits Hoover’s books for reigniting her love for reading, a hobby she had neglected since high school.
