Chelsea WSL Fixtures – When Could They Seal the League Title?

Chelsea boss Sonia Bompastor has taken to life in the WSL like a duck to water — showing no signs of a post-Emma Hayes hangover.

The Blues are storming toward their sixth consecutive WSL title — a feat that would take their all-time tally to a record-extending eight.

A midweek 4-0 demolition of London rivals Crystal Palace saw them stretch their lead at the top to six points, with just a few games left to play.

The match also marked a major milestone for skipper Millie Bright, who became just the second player in WSL history to rack up 200 appearances.

With Chelsea firmly in the driver’s seat, one question remains: how soon can they seal the title? Let’s look at the remaining Chelsea WSL fixtures…

Chelsea WSL Fixtures: Who Else is in the Race?

Manchester City pushed Chelsea all the way last season — but this time around, they’ve fallen short of expectations. A Champions League spot is now the best the Mancunians can hope for, and even that would be a stretch.

That leaves Arsenal and Manchester United as the only realistic challengers to Chelsea’s crown. But barring a dramatic collapse from Sonia Bompastor’s side, the trophy already looks destined to stay in west London.

Unbeaten in the WSL this season and sitting pretty on 51 points with three games to go, Chelsea are firmly in control. The highest possible total Arsenal could reach is 54, while United can only climb to 52 — both assuming perfect finishes.

Next up, Chelsea welcome Barcelona to Stamford Bridge on Sunday for the second leg of their Champions League semi-final. Then, on Wednesday, April 30, they return to WSL action against Manchester United.

A win there would eliminate United from the title race and, if Arsenal drop points at Aston Villa, seal the league title for Chelsea.

Should Arsenal keep their hopes alive, Chelsea could still wrap things up in their penultimate match against Tottenham on May 4.

Chelsea WSL Fixtures: The Final Three Matches

The finish line is in sight, and Chelsea are closing in on yet another WSL title. Here’s how their final three league fixtures stack up:

  • Manchester United (A) – Wednesday, April 30 – 20:15 KO
  • Tottenham (A) – Sunday, May 4 – 14:15 KO
  • Liverpool (H) – Saturday, May 10 – 12:30 KO

If everything goes to plan, Chelsea could step onto the pitch for that final game at Kingsmeadow to a guard of honour – the perfect curtain call on another season of WSL dominance.

And once the league business is wrapped up, there’s still one more date to circle: the FA Cup final against Manchester United at Wembley on May 18.
